AMC has not confirmed any new Walking Dead projects for 2027, potentially ending a 17-year streak of consecutive television releases for the franchise that began in 2010.
The network is currently preparing to broadcast the third season of Dead City in July 2026 and the fourth and final season of Daryl Dixon later this autumn.

Gimple addressed the possibility of a heavily rumored crossover project that would reunite core characters from various spinoffs during an interview on The Brandon Davis Show.
"Absolutely, still a hope.
I mean, it's very challenging for a variety of reasons, which have everything to do again with 2026 production.
But things change very quickly, and I've drawn up all sorts of garden-of-forking-paths kind of plans," Gimple said.

"Finally going through these photos to check off from the last episode now that I'm back from Mongolia, it was really hard to kill any of them," Reedus stated.
