The result marks Lawson's sixth top-ten finish in eight races this season, making him the first New Zealander to achieve four straight points finishes since Denny Hulme in 1973.

His teammate Arvid Lindblad finished tenth, giving Racing Bulls a double-points haul and closing the gap to Alpine in the constructors' standings.
Qualifying and Strategy
George Russell took pole position for Mercedes ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton after a qualifying session interrupted by a single yellow flag for Max Verstappen.
Racing Bulls used two new sets of soft tires in Q1 to ensure safe progression, then mixed scrubbed and new softs in Q2 and Q3 to advance both cars into the final shootout ahead of midfield rivals.

"It was really hot out there today, but overall it was a good race," he said.

A minor miscommunication with Lindblad led to a brief on-track battle, but Lawson regained position after the second pit stop.
Team Principal Allan Permane called it "a pretty perfect weekend" after previous struggles converting qualifying speed into race pace.
"It was pretty clear today that we were quick," he said.
