In 2013, police arrested Harris as part of Operation Yewtree, an investigation launched into historic sexual abuse following the Jimmy Savile scandal.
Authorities gathered evidence showing that Harris had been abusing young women and girls, with his earliest known victim identified as a 13-year-old friend of his daughter.
Despite pleading not guilty to multiple charges, a jury convicted Harris on all 12 counts of indecent assault against four female victims aged between 8 and 19.
The offenses took place between the 1960s and the 1980s, resulting in a prison sentence of five years and nine months, though he was released on licence after serving three years.

Harris passed away in 2023 at the age of 93.
