The mother of two criticized the organization's actions regarding the forced removal.

"It's so unfair, as a group they are disgusting with how they've dealt with this," said Storm Tapp-Grant.

The children also expressed severe heartbreak regarding the potential loss of their animal companion.

"If they took her away, I would be so so sad, I wouldn't even bother coming into the garden," said Everest, the six-year-old daughter.

The six-year-old appealed directly against the removal of the family pet.

"Don't take Nibbles away, she's my pet not yours," said Everest.

Housing Provider's Position

Meanwhile, the housing provider maintained that the alterations violated the terms of the formal tenancy agreement.

"We understand how important it is for our customers to enjoy their homes and shared spaces, and we always aim to balance individual needs with those of the wider community," said an unnamed spokesperson for Aster.

The association noted that other residents had brought forward complaints regarding the unauthorized garden structures and animal care.

"We were made aware of concerns about a rabbit, hutch, decking and raised beds installed on communal land without the required permission.

Other customers have raised concerns including about the animal's welfare," said the spokesperson.

According to the organization, the legal route was pursued only after informal resolution attempts failed.

"Despite our efforts, the customer has refused to remove the items, so we had to take the difficult decision to pursue legal action," said the spokesperson.

The housing body confirmed that the court ruled in their favor regarding the communal space.

"The court has since ordered that the items are removed," said the spokesperson.

The landlord indicated a willingness to find an alternative arrangement for the animal inside the property.

"We are looking to work with the family to explore keeping the rabbit inside their home, where appropriate and in line with their tenancy agreement," said the spokesperson.

The organization emphasized its responsibility to maintain shared residential zones for all occupants.
