The local government acknowledged the widespread security failure and immediately deployed technical consultants to mitigate the technological damage.

The Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) is aware of the cybersecurity incident and is providing guidance and technical consultation to support DCHA as they work with their incident response team," stated the District.
