Memorable Performance and Support

During the competition, Skelton delivered a memorable Musicals Week performance of “Mein Herr” from Cabaret alongside her professional partner Gorka Marquez, addressing her personal growth prior to the routine.

“Strictly has given me so many things already,” she said.

She expressed gratitude for the platform and the chance to showcase her abilities on the dancefloor.

“I’ve got lots to be thankful for and I know what I can offer, and the great thing for me is this dance is all about that,” she added.

Marquez offered public words of support to Skelton during the broadcast, acknowledging the emotional weight she carried.

“I know you’ve been having a difficult time and I know you may feel like you’re not beautiful or good enough or anything.

But if you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you,” he said.

He emphasized that the entire production team stood behind her.

“Everybody here believes in you,” Marquez added.

Skelton later reflected on their professional dynamic and the boundaries of their public statements.

“What I love about Gorka is that he has my very best interests at heart, and we are genuinely very good friends.
