Juju Chan, the fiancée of PGA Tour golfer Sahith Theegala, has publicly criticized ESPN anchor Gary Striewski following an awkward encounter at a Connecticut coffee shop during the Travelers Championship.

The dispute began after Striewski, a SportsCenter host, posted a TikTok video recounting the interaction near ESPN's headquarters in Bristol.

While he did not name anyone, social media users quickly identified Chan.

Striewski's Account

In the video, Striewski said he recognized Chan from her online presence and sat next to her because the shop was crowded.

He claimed he asked, "Has anybody spotted you yet?" and she replied, "I guess now."

Striewski described the conversation as ending in an uncomfortable silence. He defended his actions, saying public recognition is part of maintaining a constant online presence.

Chan's Response

Chan, who has nearly 70,000 TikTok followers, released a video disputing Striewski's version.

She said there were many empty tables and that his comment felt unusual and unsettling.

"That's not a normal thing that people would say to me. I don't know who this person is," Chan stated.

She said she laughed nervously to defuse the tension.

Chan called Striewski's behavior unprofessional, accusing him of encouraging online hate against her. "To encourage people to hate on me, that's uncool," she added.
