House Democrats are preparing extensive investigations into Donald Trump's presidency, targeting alleged corruption and abuses of power if the party regains the House majority in the midterms, according to The Guardian.
Legal experts describe the scandals surrounding Trump as a "target-rich environment," with potential probes into the weaponization of the Justice Department, cryptocurrency ventures, and a proposed $1.8 billion fund to assist allies facing criminal charges.

Representative Jamie Raskin of Maryland, the top Democrat on the judiciary committee, has already initiated preliminary inquiries.
"The political and financial corruption driving the Trump presidency is a civic emergency," Raskin said in a statement.
"Congress has a responsibility to confront all this corruption directly – to expose it and take all steps necessary to crush it as quickly as possible," Raskin added.
Raskin noted ongoing scrutiny of the Justice Department's actions against non-profits, the Jeffrey Epstein cover-up, emoluments clause violations involving Jared Kushner, and resource mismanagement.
"With control of the House, we can call hearings, conduct depositions, use subpoenas to compel the appearance of witnesses and the production of documents, if necessary, and pass bills that root out corruption," he predicted.
Former federal prosecutors and veteran investigators have begun informal discussions to assist House Democrats should the Republican party lose its majority, a legal source revealed.
Former White House special counsel Ty Cobb said the scale of alleged corruption is unprecedented.
"It’s like comparing Fort Knox to a child’s piggy bank," Cobb remarked, calling the $1.8 billion fund "criminal conduct."
