Câmara's final lap of 1:39.690 edged out Dunne, while ART Grand Prix's Kush Maini took third place, just 0.001 seconds behind Dunne.
DAMS Lucas Oil driver Roman Bilinski led early with a 1:41.123 lap. Mid-session improvements from Maini and Van Amersfoort Racing competitors reshuffled the order.
Dunne briefly held the top spot with a 1:40.536 before losing a time due to track limits.
Câmara then took the lead after switching to fresh soft tires.
Bilinski ended fourth, ahead of Nikola Tsolov and Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak. Championship leader Gabriele Minì finished tenth, earning reverse-grid pole for Saturday's Sprint Race.
Future of Formula 2
Formula 2 CEO Bruno Michel praised the close racing, saying, "The one [sprint race] this morning was particularly good...
to see three drivers fighting like they were in the last corner is really good."

Michel emphasized that maintaining competitive racing is the series' priority.
He confirmed aerodynamic updates for 2027 to align the cars visually with Formula 1, but ruled out hybrid power units due to cost.
"We are going to change and to improve the aerodynamics of the car," Michel said.
He added that a completely new car is not planned to limit expenses for teams.
The championship will continue using internal combustion engines with sustainable fuel, developed with Aramco. Michel noted that a hybrid system "would make absolutely no sense" given financial constraints.
Officials are also evaluating a push-to-pass system to enhance overtaking, as the current DRS may be supplemented.
