Jackson Chourio broke a late-game deadlock with an infield single in the 11th inning on Friday night, driving the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

The victory marked Milwaukee's fourth win in five games, opening an 11-game road trip before the All-Star break with a six-game lead in the National League Central.

The game remained tied 3-3 from the third inning until the extra-inning outburst.

With automatic runner Blake Perkins on base in the 11th, Arizona reliever Ryan Thompson hit Cooper Pratt and a sacrifice bunt advanced the runners before Chourio hit a soft grounder.

Thompson fielded the ball but threw wildly past home plate, allowing both Perkins and Pratt to score. Brice Turang then drove in two more runs with a single.

Garrett Mitchell put Milwaukee ahead early with a 435-foot, two-run home run in the second inning off Arizona starter Jose Cabrera.

Jake Bauers extended the lead to 3-0 in the third.

Arizona responded in the bottom of the third when Nolan Arenado hit a two-out, two-run double off Kyle Harrison to tie the game and chase the Brewers starter.

Harrison exited after 2 2/3 innings having thrown 72 pitches, while Cabrera lasted 3 1/3 innings for the Diamondbacks.

Both bullpens subsequently tossed scoreless frames until the 11th.

Grant Anderson earned the victory for Milwaukee after pitching the final two innings, while Thompson suffered the loss for Arizona.

Late defensive plays proved vital as Mitchell and Chourio both made spectacular catches at the outfield walls during the tightly contested matchup.

Milwaukee reliever Chad Patrick also provided crucial stability by tossing 3 1/3 scoreless frames out of the bullpen to keep Arizona from pulling ahead.
