The Seattle Kraken have agreed to trade 22-year-old center Shane Wright this summer, following mutual discussions about moving the young forward to a team in need of a top young center, according to reports from July 4 and July 5, 2026.
Wright experienced a statistical regression during the 2025-26 season, managing only 27 points in 74 games.

"I can confirm that we have had positive conversations with GM Jason Botterill, and he has agreed to move Shane this summer to a team in need of a top young center," Overhardt said Wednesday, per Friedman.
