The New York Mets secured a four-game series split against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park on July 6, 2026, following a tense extra-inning victory and a preceding 10-9 win on Sunday.

In the final game, Juan Soto hit a go-ahead, two-run home run in the eighth inning off closer Raisel Iglesias to give New York a 5-3 lead.

Matt Olson tied the game with his second homer of the night in the ninth, but the Mets prevailed in the 10th inning.

Luis Torrens delivered a two-RBI double off debuting Braves pitcher Owen Murphy to put the Mets ahead.

Atlanta scored once in the bottom of the 10th on a Michael Harris II double, but Mauricio Dubon grounded out with the bases loaded to end the game.

Interim manager Andy Green praised his team's offensive output after the 10-9 win on Sunday, where New York survived a late five-run rally by Atlanta in the ninth inning.

"These guys want to win baseball games," Green said. "They’re passionate about winning baseball games.

They just won a baseball game."

Mets pitcher Nolan McLean rebounded from a three-run first inning to pitch six-plus frames, striking out five and allowing five hits.

"I feel like I had some pretty good stuff there in the first and just some unfortunate things happening," McLean said.

Ewing hit a 408-foot home run off left-hander Martín Pérez during Sunday's contest. "I think I’ve always been comfortable against lefties," Ewing said.

Ewing also noted the team's offensive potential after New York combined for 12 hits.

"I think everyone in this locker room knows that that’s the offensive capability that we have," he said.

Braves starter Reynaldo Lopez pitched well in the series finale, leaving with a 3-2 lead before the bullpen surrendered the advantage.
