Netflix will remove all eight seasons of the classic sitcom Home Improvement from its streaming library on August 1, 2026, according to the platform's schedule.
The removal coincides with ongoing delays in developing a reboot of the franchise.

The ABC series, which originally aired from 1991 to 1999, stars Tim Allen as Tim "The Toolman" Taylor, a television host navigating family life with his wife Jill (Patricia Richardson) and three sons.
The show built a loyal audience during its run.
Reboot Stalled by Casting Issues
Tim Allen addressed the stalled reboot during a recent interview, citing personality conflicts among the actors who played his on-screen sons.
"They keep talking about how it could move forward, but they get stuck [because] there are some personality problems right now with the boys," Allen said.
The production remains at a standstill as negotiations continue. No official timeline for a reboot has been announced.

Critical reception of the original series was mixed. Some praised its cast chemistry and sharp writing, while others criticized repetitive humor and Allen's one-liners.
Modern viewers often highlight the show's nostalgic value.
Separately, Allen is currently voicing Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story 5, which has grossed over $764 million in its first three weeks.
Director Andrew Stanton noted the cast's enthusiasm for returning, comparing the integration of digital devices in the film to the arrival of television in homes.
