Pudu Robotics has announced plans to open a fully robot-operated hotel on West Artificial Island in Guangdong Province by 2027, marking a significant expansion of automated hospitality services.

The hotel will manage the entire guest experience using interconnected robotic systems for reception, room service, housekeeping, food preparation, and guest support across 44 high-end rooms, a restaurant, and a gym.

Public trials featuring select rooms with robot-powered check-in and autonomous deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026, according to company announcements reported by Fox News and Interesting Engineering.

Technology Behind the Hotel

The hotel operations will rely on Pudu's embodied intelligence foundation model, PuduFM 1.0, and its general AI platform, PuduAgent, to allow different machines to communicate through a shared software framework.

During a demonstration at the signing ceremony, specific robots handled distinct tasks, including the PUDU T300 moving luggage, the CC1 Pro and MT1 cleaning, and BellaBot Pro serving coffee.

The initiative is being developed alongside Shenzhen Culture & Tourism Industry Development as part of a broader technology infrastructure strategy on the artificial island, which opened in December 2025.

"This partnership represents an important step toward large-scale deployment of embodied intelligence in premium hospitality environments," said Cong Guo, co-founder and CTO of Pudu Robotics.

Guo noted that the project allows the company to study how distinct AI systems interact to serve human customers.

"It also provides an opportunity to explore new service models where AI and robotics work together to deliver intelligent, end-to-end experiences in the real world," he added.
