McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown has denied holding any discussions with Max Verstappen regarding a potential move from Red Bull, despite emerging reports that Oscar Piastri is considering triggering a contract release clause.

Speculation intensified following the British Grand Prix weekend after reports claimed Piastri's management team, led by Mark Webber, is exploring options due to the driver's dissatisfaction with his position at McLaren.

The Australian driver reportedly possesses a release clause allowing him to terminate his contract, which runs until 2028, if he sits outside the top five in the Drivers' Standings by the summer break.

He currently occupies sixth place.

Speaking on the Up To Speed podcast with Will Buxton, Brown addressed the initial rumors regarding a potential driver swap between Verstappen and Piastri following the Austrian Grand Prix.

"Well, I've got two awesome racing drivers, so if I had a third car, I'd sign them in a heartbeat," said Brown.

Brown emphasized that the team had no intention of altering its current lineup of Lando Norris and Piastri, who secured the constructors' crown for McLaren last season.

"Lando and Oscar have their names engraved on their race seat, and they haven't emptied out their lockers, so they're not going anywhere," asserted Brown.

The McLaren executive joked about the highly improbable circumstances that would be required to open up a seat within the Woking-based outfit.

"I'm not making any driver changes... I said at the weekend, if someone slips on a banana peel, which is not the plan!
