Verstappen expressed significant concern over the safety implications of the aerodynamic failures encountered during the race weekend.
"When the rear wing doesn't close fully, you lose a lot of downforce and you spin off the track," explained Verstappen.
The driver highlighted the repetitive nature of the technical fault as an unacceptable risk to his safety on track.
"So, yeah. One time, okay, but two times… this is becoming dangerous for myself.
And obviously, I don't want that," stated Verstappen.
He concluded by describing the deep frustration caused by the vehicle's persistent balance and top-speed deficits across the entire event.
"I don't know. I mean… yeah.
It's just painful, frustrating. You know, you're trying everything you can," expressed Verstappen.
Verstappen remains mathematically unable to reach second place in the championship before the summer break, a factor that reportedly activates his own contract termination clause.
"Yesterday, of course'… I mean, the whole weekend I'm not happy with the car balance. I'm down on top speed on my side of the garage," concluded Verstappen.
