The 2027 Ram SRT TRX shouldn't exist.
It costs $99,995 before destination, weighs nearly three tons, and drinks fuel at a rate that would make an oil executive smile.

It's huge, impractical, and arrives as the industry shifts toward efficiency and electrification. Yet, it's here.
Ram already sells the RHO, a 540-hp twin-turbo inline-six truck that covers much of the TRX's off-road capability for roughly $26,200 less.
So why buy the TRX?
We flew to South Bend, Indiana, to find out, testing it on city streets, highways, and the legendary Redbud Motocross track.
Styling: Completely Over the Top
The TRX doubles down on everything that made its predecessor memorable. Massive fender flares stretch over 35-inch tires, and the hood looks like heavy machinery.
The grille and intake system advertise the truck's intentions before the engine starts.
Ram revised the cold-air induction to support the full 777 hp (579 kW) from the supercharged V8.
A new dinosaur badge on the tailgate went through multiple design revisions, from jaw shape to tooth count.
It's ridiculous, but so is the entire truck.
Interior: Luxury Meets Off-Road
The cabin helps justify the price tag. Real carbon fiber, leather, suede, and red stitching cover surfaces.
Front seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging; rear passengers get heating and ventilation too. The fold-down center armrest even has suede.
