Park cast members immediately triggered safety protocols, ensuring the child was not injured.

Disneyland employees are trained to stop rides when they spot a rider exiting prematurely via closed-circuit monitors.

The safety stoppage delayed the attraction for about 30 minutes, according to theme park blogs Inside the Magic and WDW News Today.

An Instagram user captured video of the aftermath, later reported by TMZ on July 7.

"Remain right where you are," a voice announced over the ride's loudspeaker.

The guest who posted the footage noted that the Disneyland version lacks lap restraints, unlike its Florida counterpart, and riders sit in a single row.

"We were stuck for over 30 minutes after the party in front exited their ride vehicle!" the user wrote.

Theme park operators note that rides frequently stop for safety reasons, such as dropped cell phones or hats.

Guest attempts to retrieve items or exit moving vehicles pose severe hazards, forcing immediate closures.

The July 4 incident follows a prior emergency on June 21, 2026, when a 13-year-old boy attempted to exit the log flume before a 50-foot drop.

A Disneyland spokesperson told Fox News the teenager fell down the final descent. The ride was stopped, and the boy was taken to a hospital, evaluated, and released.
