"I think whenever there's so much negativity around, it's not something so nice to see," said Leclerc.

"You try to cancel the noise as much as possible, I try to not look at my phone and focus on what is relevant and in order to also have the right picture of the situation, because things are said and you go from hero to zero, from zero to hero, in like two days in this sport, and so it can influence then the way you see a situation."

Despite the breakthrough win, the Ferrari driver remained cautious about his long-term performance with the current generation of technical regulations.

"These cars are very specific, are very different to the way we've been driving since we started racing, and so it takes a bit more time to get used to it," said Leclerc.

"I was very strong for the first part of the season, then I lost a bit of feeling with the car."

Brundle Criticises Safety Car Rules

Former Formula 1 driver and Sky Sports analyst Martin Brundle heavily criticised the current safety car regulations and the handling of the unlapping process, urging the FIA to implement structural updates.

"Providing it's considered safe, which on a dry sunny day with no people, debris, or stranded cars around the track it understandably was, the race director can allow eligible lapped cars to pass the leading pack and head off at a faster but safe speed," said Brundle.
