Litton Das remains sidelined for the rest of the series due to a calf injury.

Zimbabwe fielded an unchanged playing eleven after their victory in the first match.

They hold a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, having defended a low total of 141 runs.

Bangladesh are looking to stabilize their batting after being bowled out for 116 in the opening fixture, despite a historic six-wicket haul from fast bowler Nahid Rana.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz expressed confidence in his bowling unit while stressing the need for better partnerships.

“We bowled really well, especially Nahid – he took six wickets and it was exceptional… We can do better, but we have to bowl in the right areas,” he said.

Zimbabwe captain Richard Ngarava, leading the squad for his first series, praised his team’s resilience.

“Discussion was, as Zimbabweans, we can go through any situation and come out of it. I had belief – we know what we are.

We fight till the end,” he said.

Newman Nyamhuri played a key role for the hosts, contributing 33 runs with the bat and taking crucial wickets to disrupt Bangladesh’s top order.

Bangladesh batting coach Mohammad Ashraful highlighted the challenge posed by Zimbabwe’s pace attack. “Zimbabwe have a wonderful pace-bowling unit now.

The bowlers are tall, and they are getting good bounce from the pitches. Our batters are struggling against that,” he said.
