Storey concludes her historic international run as Great Britain's most successful Paralympian.
She accumulated 30 medals across nine Paralympic Games after transitioning from swimming to cycling.
Storey confirmed that her choice to step away from active competition stems from an interest in advancing para sport rather than any physical decline.
"I am so privileged to have spent 35 years as an international athlete," said Storey.
Before transitioning to cycling where she secured 14 gold medals, Storey established her early sporting legacy by winning five Paralympic gold medals in the pool.

"I genuinely pinch myself that my childhood dream of being an athlete for as long as I possibly could has led to nine Paralympic Games and opportunities across so many sporting events," she said.
She emphasized that her physical conditioning remains strong enough to contend at the highest level.
"Physically, I fully believe that I could be on that start line in Los Angeles, confident of defending my two titles from Paris," said Storey.
Storey will now shift her energy toward systemic improvements, visibility, and development initiatives within the broader sporting community.
