The uniform launch comes six weeks before a major membership policy adjustment that will limit participation exclusively to biological females, following a 2025 UK Supreme Court ruling.
Under the new rule, transgender girls must leave the organization, while transgender women serving as adult volunteers will transition into gender-neutral roles.
Girlguiding currently has approximately 300,000 youth members aged four to 18 across four age groups, along with 80,000 adult volunteers.

The organization does not track gender identity data, so the exact number of individuals affected by the upcoming policy enforcement is unknown.
