She expressed her struggle over learning the exact conditions under which police found her son's remains.

"I have to live with the fact that my son was kept for so long without my knowledge, and that when he was eventually found he was in a brown paper bag on the floor," Beverley said.
Beverley concluded her victim impact statement by describing the lasting scar left by the funeral director's actions.
"As a mother, that is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life," Beverley said.
Other Families Share Their Ordeal
The court also heard testimonies from other affected victims, including the family of 80-year-old Jim Porter, whose body was recovered from the site still wearing his hospital identification bands despite family members having previously attended a funeral service.
"Dad told me and my brother and sister that he didn't want a fancy or expensive funeral," Porter's daughter, Tina Thames, said.
Thames explained that her family selected the business because it was local and affordable.
"He just wanted us to celebrate his life," Thames said.
She reflected on their initial decision to hire Bush's firm.
"Legacy Independent Funeral Directors were a local firm and offered a reasonably priced service," Thames said.
Thames acknowledged how severely mistaken her family was regarding Bush's operation.
"It seemed a good choice for us. How wrong we were," Thames said.
She detailed the psychological impact when authorities informed her about her father's body.
