Scheduled Maintenance Outages Announced

Separately, Kenya Power announced scheduled electricity maintenance outages on Thursday, July 30, affecting specific areas across Nairobi, Nyeri, Kwale, and Mombasa counties between 9:00 a.

m. and 5:00 p.

m.

The planned maintenance interruptions were announced under statutory provisions to allow network upgrades, line repairs, and customer connection work.

"Notice is hereby given under Rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules that the electricity supply will be interrupted as hereunder: It is necessary to interrupt supply periodically in order to facilitate maintenance and upgrade of power lines to the network; to connect new customers or to replace power," stated KPLC.

The planned maintenance works affect specific zones including Nairobi West, parts of Kieni and Mathira in Nyeri, the Lunga Lunga border region in Kwale, and the Liwatoni port zone in Mombasa.
