Korda emphasized staying true to herself.
"I just had to learn that no one is going to make me go this direction, that direction.
I'm going to go the direction I want and be very authentic. I feel like when I'm not it drains my battery a lot."
Lydia Ko praised Korda's performance over the past three seasons, including two major victories in 2026.
"If we were in the same position, like a couple points away," said Ko, "I would probably bet my money on her before me, to be honest."
Korda will play the first two rounds alongside Ko and Haeran Ryu.
Ryu enters after back-to-back major victories, including a playoff win at the Amundi Evian Championship after shooting a third-round 60.
"Now I'm back to work, and still happy," said Ryu.
Ryu took over a month off from May to June for minor surgery, leaving her refreshed for the summer major stretch.
