Donalds confirmed he has held initial conversations with President Donald Trump regarding the federal headquarters transfer and expects continued discussions as the campaign progresses.
"We had one conversation briefly on it," said Donalds. "I anticipate we're going to have a lot more."
The candidate reiterated his closing commitment to expanding federal assets and state manufacturing hubs during the campaign roll-out.
"Florida launched the first space race, and Florida will win the next one. Every American who walked on the Moon left Earth from Florida's coast.
As Governor, I'll fight to bring NASA headquarters home, create thousands of high-paying jobs, and ensure the next giant leap starts right here in the Sunshine State," said Donalds.
State aerospace development is currently backed by approximately $25 million allocated to Space Florida in the annual state budget signed by Gov.
Ron DeSantis.
