In Philadelphia, he served as a core defensive perimeter operator during a 43-30 campaign.

He later played for the Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs, and New Orleans Pelicans before returning to Miami in 2023.

During his college career at Tennessee, Richardson earned First-Team All-SEC honors and was a two-time SEC All-Defensive team selection under head coach Cuonzo Martin.

He finished third in school history in games played (136) and led the Volunteers to the Sweet 16 in his junior season.

Injuries limited Richardson to just eight appearances for Miami during the 2024-25 season.

He briefly played for Spanish club Basket Zaragoza before deciding to retire on his own terms.
