Potential Destinations

FootballTransfers data suggests Veltman could be the best defender in the Eredivisie, with a skill score of 70.7.

PSV appears to be a logical destination, especially as an alternative to Lutsharel Geertruida, whose transfer fee is reportedly high.

Feyenoord and AZ have also been mentioned as potential suitors, though Feyenoord has depth at right-back and AZ already has several options.

FC Twente might become an option if their current right-back Bart van Rooij moves.

Veltman reflected on his departure from Brighton, saying, "I knew I wouldn't extend my contract.

I respected the club's decision, and I can only speak positively about Brighton and the Premier League."

He also expressed understanding about not being called up to the Dutch national team since 2021 due to strong competition.

"I'm proud of what I achieved for the Netherlands, including playing in a European Championship and World Cup," he said.

Despite his age, Veltman feels physically capable of playing for several more years. "Mentally, I'd like to keep going for ten or fifteen years," he added.
