Two police drones will monitor the parade route and major surrounding corridors, giving law enforcement an aerial overview of crowd movements.
Officials also warned attendees about common opportunistic crimes during large gatherings and urged vigilance regarding personal belongings.

Joe Matys of the Toronto Police Service said, "We encourage everyone attending Carnival to remain aware of their surroundings, have a plan for meeting with family and friends if you get separated, report anything suspicious to a police officer or event staff, and in an emergency, call 911."
Road Closures and Transit Advisory
To facilitate the parade and ensure pedestrian safety, police instituted extensive road closures starting at midnight on Saturday, August 1, which will remain in place until 6 a.
m. on Sunday, August 2.
The closures affect Lake Shore Boulevard West between Fort York Boulevard and Colborne Lodge Drive, the southbound lanes of Strachan Avenue, and multiple ramps along the Gardiner Expressway.

Public transit is advised as additional officers monitor nightlife activity in the downtown core through the evening.
