The Golden State Warriors are being urged to target Oklahoma City Thunder forward Aaron Wiggins in a potential trade this offseason, following the return of head coach Steve Kerr.
Blue Man Hoop analyst Peter O'Keefe suggested the pursuit after ESPN reporter Anthony Slater outlined the Warriors' offseason strategy.

Golden State faces major roster decisions with upcoming contract negotiations and multiple long-term injuries.
"With the contract extensions of (Jalen) Williams and Chet Holmgren kicking in next season, you'd think Wiggins may be gettable fairly cheaply if a team like the Warriors are willing to take his $8.4 million salary off the Thunder's books," O'Keefe wrote.
The trade proposal leverages Oklahoma City's roster constraints. The Thunder hold three draft picks but only one available roster spot.
"Considering OKC also have only one available roster spot and currently three picks at next month's NBA draft, they may also be happy to move on from Wiggins to accommodate for a cheaper and younger player with more upside," O'Keefe added.
Acquiring Wiggins would provide the Warriors with a versatile perimeter defender and shooter capable of playing multiple positions.
Wiggins saw reduced playing time during the 2026 postseason as Oklahoma City prioritized minutes for Ajay Mitchell and Jared McCain.

Roster adjustments are being prioritized by Golden State General Manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. as the team manages the extended rehabilitation of Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody, both projected to miss most of next season due to knee injuries.
"We'll always look to add athletically — length, size, skill, all those things," Dunleavy said. "But, watching the playoffs, you learn a lot.
You see the teams where they're at, where you need to go, and it's good to see."
The Warriors' front office must also navigate several high-profile contract situations this summer.
Guard Steph Curry is eligible for an extension, while forward Draymond Green holds a player option.
