Reflecting on reaching 100 series starts, Ferrucci said, "It's kind of wild, 100th start around this place. It's really special.

Just that milestone in general for me, so really happy about it. It still feels like 2019 [rookie season].

It's been fun."

Confidence and Preparation

Ferrucci evaluated his car's performance and past near-misses, including a career-best third-place finish in 2023. "I feel really good," he said.

"The Chevrolet is really quick, a lot of pace. You know, seven top tens here.

I've come close to winning this race a few times. Hopefully, this is our year."

He noted the smooth progression of his preparation: "We're really far ahead of our program. Everything's been going good so far, so smooth."

When asked what it would take to win, Ferrucci pointed to luck and a clean race. "Probably a little bit of luck," he said.

"With the year we finished third, it's tough to forget about those.

There's really nothing I could have done differently that would have changed the outcome of that race."

He added, "This year, also with all the adversity we overcame in that race, if we have a smooth year, I don't see why we can't be back there again in the fight."

Ferrucci also highlighted his partnership with "Homes for Our Troops," a non-profit supporting injured post-9/11 veterans.

"It's an absolute honor to be working with Home for Our Troops," he said.

"These guys are severely injured post 9/11 veterans that fought and sacrificed everything for our country. They're the reason why we're able to have this great race."

Ferrucci currently sits 18th in the NTT IndyCar Series championship standings after an eighth-place finish at Barber Motorsports Park.

The 200-lap race is scheduled to begin at 12:45 p. m.

ET on FOX, with pre-race coverage starting at 10 a. m.
