After completing her first half-marathon last year, she transitioned into a rigorous routine of training nearly every day through gym sessions and long runs.
"So I said, why limit myself?" said Fahie.
She noted her anticipation for the Sunday start line while managing a tight schedule that included a dance rehearsal later that evening.
"There'll be lots of excitement," said Fahie. She expressed humorous pre-race anxiety regarding basic logistics before preparing to run alongside her friends.
"I really hope I don't have to go to the bathroom right away," said Fahie.
Fahie shared that her social running network keeps her motivated, and she planned to celebrate the achievement with her athletic peers.
"It was an escape for me," said Fahie.
She recalled how her progression started small before she committed to the full 42.2-kilometer distance.
"I liked the idea of (trying) to run an 8k, a 10k, a 15k," said Fahie.
Fahie credited her running club for providing an invaluable social environment in her new home city.
"And then I did my first half-marathon and that was just a lot of fun," said Fahie.

She intends to support her fellow club members during their respective race times across both days.
"That's just been a really amazing experience and I've just made so many friends through there. So that's why I continue running," said Fahie.
Fahie organized her weekend to balance both active participation and spectating. "The scheduling is a little rough," said Fahie.
