The Los Angeles Angels ended their losing streak with a dominant offensive performance, recording 16 hits to defeat the Colorado Rockies 8-3 on Wednesday at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
The win allowed the Angels to avoid a series sweep after a disappointing loss on Tuesday night.

Disciplined Offense Leads the Way
Six different Angels players drove in at least one run during the game. Manager Kurt Suzuki praised his team's approach at the plate.
"I think it was quality at bats, in the sense of moving the ball forward, battling with two strikes and using the big part of the field," Suzuki said.
Suzuki noted that hitters used the entire field instead of trying to pull every pitch. "Everybody's not just trying to hook everything.
I feel like we used the whole field... Take your base hits, move runners over, get runners in.
It was impressive by the guys," he added.
Six-Run Second Inning Sets the Tone
The Angels broke the game open with a six-run second inning.
They capitalized on their own hits, two wild pitches from Colorado starter Michael Lorenzen, and a throwing error by left fielder Sterlin Thompson.
The early lead gave Angels starter Walbert Ureña plenty of support.
Ureña, who carried strong May performances into this start, did not allow a hit through the first three innings.

"I feel more comfortable on the mound, so just trying to attack and I know we've got to win with those runs," Ureña said.
