The Memphis Grizzlies reshaped their draft position on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, by executing consecutive trades with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Memphis initially traded the draft rights of 16th-overall pick Bennett Stirtz to Oklahoma City.

In return, the Thunder sent 17th-overall selection Ebuka Okorie and two future second-round draft picks to the Grizzlies.

Immediately following that deal, the Grizzlies sent Okorie to the Detroit Pistons.

This second transaction allowed Memphis to slide down to the 21st-overall pick while securing three additional second-round selections, as reported by ESPN.

With the newly acquired 21st pick, the Grizzlies selected Karim Lopez from the New Zealand Breakers of the National Basketball League.

The players involved in the primary swap posted strong collegiate numbers last year.

Stirtz averaged 19.8 points on 47.7 percent shooting over 37 games for Iowa, leading the team to its first Elite Eight appearance since 1987.

Stanford's Okorie led the ACC in scoring with 23.2 points per game.
