Reflecting on his recent performances, Veijer acknowledged the setbacks caused by crashes while fighting at the front.

"We fight every time for a good position, but then I also often fall off.

The mental challenge of dealing with racing incidents has become a key focus as he adapts his riding approach.

We are busy working on that," Veijer said.

To combat the expected high temperatures at Assen, Veijer is using specialized physical preparation including electrolyte drinks, cooling vests, and post-race ice baths.

"That is good for my muscles, but also for my head to completely calm down again.

And I must say that during the race I am actually not concerned with the heat at all.

You notice it especially when you come back inside the pit box," he said.

Supporters from Staphorst and Rouveen are traveling via organized buses to the circuit on Sunday morning.

"There is of course always a great atmosphere after the races and I hope that we can bring that about again this year," Veijer said.

He set clear performance metrics for a successful home Grand Prix: "If we finish in the top 10 and can take points home."

Fellow Dutch rider Zonta van den Goorbergh finished 23rd in FP2 with a personal best lap of 1'36.400.
