The Vancouver Canucks selected center Brooks Rogowski with the first pick of the second round, 33rd overall, at the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
The 18-year-old from Brighton, Michigan, adds athletic pedigree and size to the Canucks' prospect pool.

Rogowski comes from a family of professional athletes. His father, Casey Rogowski, was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 1999 MLB draft.
His uncle, Ryan Rogowski, played in the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league system.
The 6-foot-7 forward spent the last two seasons with the Oshawa Generals in the Ontario Hockey League.
During his sophomore major junior season, he recorded 15 goals and 27 assists for 42 points in 46 games.
Rogowski is committed to join Michigan State University for the 2027-28 NCAA season.

He is the sixth player or commit from the Spartans program selected in this draft class, following five first-round selections on Friday.
Prior to his major junior career, Rogowski won two Michigan High School Athletic Association Division 1 state championships with Detroit Catholic Central High School.
He also played youth AAA hockey for the Little Caesars organization.
On the international stage, Rogowski represented the United States at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup and the IIHF World U18 Championship.
He contributed three assists in four tournament games during the latter event.

Rogowski is projected to return to the Oshawa Generals for the 2026-27 OHL season before transitioning to college hockey.
