Montreal utilized consecutive sixth-round picks to select forwards Parker Trottier at 189th overall and Wesley Royston at 190th overall, the latter using a pick acquired from the Los Angeles Kings.

Trottier, an 18-year-old left-shooting forward standing 6 feet 1 inch and weighing 185 pounds, recorded eight goals and six assists across 24 games for the USNTDP during the previous season.
Royston, also an 18-year-old attacker, stands 6 feet 4 inches and split his prior season between the Erie Otters and the Owen Sound Attack, accumulating 12 goals and seven assists across 58 combined games.
Late-Round Additions
The Canadiens concluded their draft presence in the seventh round by selecting defenseman Jean-Samuel Daigneault with the 221st pick and forward Tyler Deakos at 224th overall.
Daigneault, a 6-foot-3-inch blueliner, logged five assists in 47 games for the Muskegon Lumberjacks last season and remains committed to the Brantford Bulldogs for the upcoming year.

Deakos spent his 2025-26 season split between the Drumheller Dragons and the Waterloo Black Hawks, producing seven goals and 10 assists over 19 games before his upcoming stint with the Penticton Vees.
Earlier in the event, Montreal altered their draft order through multiple trades, which included moving up to select forward Gleb Pugachyov with the 26th overall pick in the first round.
The franchise also selected defenseman Timofei Runtso at 61st overall, forward Cooper Cleaves at 93rd overall, and defenseman Brayden Klimpke at 117th overall during the earlier rounds.

Montreal traded their original 223rd overall selection to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a seventh-round draft asset in 2027.
