After rehab, Cook faced significant psychological hurdles when returning to the stage without alcohol.
“For the first five shows, I was so paralysed and rigid with fear, I couldn't dance, and I couldn't enjoy it,” he said.
The artist found himself overthinking his musical choices until an energetic performance in Asia restored his confidence. “Everything sort of fitted into place,” he said.
Beyond music, Cook reflected on attending school with British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and explained he adopted the name Norman to escape childhood teasing regarding his birth name, Quentin.
“My nan still couldn't spell it to her dying day,” he joked.
