Wolff explained that top athletes can enter a cycle of over-analysis when facing DNFs and strong teammates.
"It's such a high-pressure environment that you have a young team-mate and that's your year, and then he's so strong, you have a DNF, you're falling behind."
He emphasized the importance of focusing on core driving metrics. "It's just be in the moment of driving the car.

Drive the car as fast as you can and look at the tyre temperatures and don't burn them."
Antonelli finished third after compromising his starting position by misinterpreting yellow flags in qualifying and running off-track during the opening laps.
"I was struggling with the brakes but after we changed tyre I reset and the pace at the end was very strong," he said.
"It was a shame I joined the party a bit too late."
Verstappen secured second place for Red Bull after recovering from a high-speed qualifying crash caused by an aerodynamic problem.
"To be second and close to a win I think is extremely positive for us," he said.
Ferrari endured a difficult race as Charles Leclerc finished eighth following front-wing damage and early pit stops, while Lewis Hamilton finished fifth.
