The City of Toronto is preparing for Canada Day celebrations on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. The annual fireworks show will take place over Ashbridges Bay.
This year's 159th Canada Day festivities also mark the Canadian men's national soccer team reaching the World Cup Round of 16 for the first time.

Service Closures and Transit Adjustments
Banks, government offices, Toronto Public Library branches, and regular mail delivery will be closed for the statutory holiday.
Public transportation will operate on modified schedules. The TTC will run on a holiday service schedule using Sunday routes starting at 6 a.
m. GO Transit will follow a Saturday schedule.
Major attractions will remain open. The CN Tower will operate from 9 a.
