The deal provides the franchise financial flexibility to construct its roster around newly acquired star Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Contract Details
According to reports from ESPN and The Stein Line, Wiggins exercised his $30.17 million player option for the 2026-27 season.
He then signed a two-year extension worth approximately $34 million.
The reworked agreement lowers his immediate annual cap hit, creating roughly $10 million in additional breathing room for the organization this summer.
As reported by The South Florida Sun Sentinel, Wiggins will earn about $16.5 million in the 2027-28 season and $17.5 million in the 2028-29 season.

The final year contains a player option.
This structural adjustment leaves Miami approximately $20.5 million under the first-apron hard cap to fill at least five remaining open roster spots.

The 31-year-old forward averaged 15.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game during the 2025-26 regular season while shooting 41.4 percent from the three-point line.
