The Met Office has warned concertgoers attending Pitbull's Summer Sessions performance at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow to prepare for heavy rain and strong winds on Wednesday evening, July 1, 2026.

A large band of wet weather is moving across Scotland from the west, bringing persistent rain and blustery conditions.

Thousands of fans are expected to face the downpour throughout the evening.

Weather maps indicate that rain will arrive in western Scotland by early afternoon and spread eastward overnight.

Parts of the Central Belt and Dumfries and Galloway could see up to 16mm of rain per hour, with potential thunder and lightning in the worst-affected areas.

Temperatures in Glasgow are forecast to hover around 17 degrees Celsius, but strong winds may make it feel much cooler.

The Strathclyde forecast predicts a cloudy evening with heavy rain, followed by drier spells overnight and a minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius.

Met Office meteorologist Clare Nasir explained that cloud cover building from the west would bring variable conditions.

"Showers will develop through the morning and into the afternoon as the cloud thickens from the west. This will bring two things through the afternoon.

So heavy scattered showers across more northern and eastern areas - we could see some thunder and lightning but this will be fairly sporadic," she said.

Nasir added that conditions would worsen as the system progresses. "Further west, more cloud and more persistent rain arriving.
