The Super League's 20th Magic Weekend, held on July 4-5, 2026, at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium in Merseyside, set a new attendance record with over 80,000 tickets sold.
This surpasses the previous record of 70,000 set a decade ago in Newcastle, marking the fastest-selling edition in the event's history.

The strong turnout provides a financial boost, with individual clubs projected to earn more revenue than in previous years.
Derby Return and Fan Experience
High-profile fixtures included the Leeds-Bradford derby, returning after a 14-year hiatus, and a special French edition between Toulouse Olympique and Catalans Dragons in Castres.
Organizers enhanced the fan experience with upgraded player arrivals and a dedicated cashless fan zone.
Rhodri Jones, managing director of RL Commercial, said the event's success proved the concept works despite earlier internal debates about canceling it.
"There was debate about Magic but I'm glad we presented and delivered on our rationale to maintain it," Jones said.
"We knew Everton would be a success and it's proof the concept does work."
Jones noted that the return of local derbies and the modern Merseyside venue, which hosted a sold-out Ashes Test last autumn, significantly drove interest.
Broadcast Deal and Financial Future
The Magic Weekend serves as a key marketing platform as Super League finalizes a new television rights deal with Sky Sports and the BBC, replacing the expiring £20 million annual contract.
Officials are also navigating potential investment talks with the NRL, having submitted strategic planning documents to Australian league officials.
