We know this week, though, there's no point speaking to each other about rugby because we're not going to give each other anything," James explained.

Robins Aim to Bounce Back

The Robins are eager to rebound quickly following a recent disappointing loss to Leeds Rhinos.

"After a loss you want to put it right straight away, you don't want one defeat to snowball," said James Batchelor.

The squad maintains total belief in their collective capacity to resolve recent tactical errors.

"We're really confident in our own ability because we know the things we've been doing at the moment are things that we can fix," he said.

James acknowledged that execution levels dropped over the past fortnight.

"The last couple of weeks we've not completed anywhere near an acceptable level, we've made fundamental errors," he said.

The cross-city battle represents the single most significant focus for both clubs this week. "Ultimately all this week is about is the derby.

Nothing that's happened before or after the derby matters," James said. "It's a must win, but it's a must win because it's a derby."

Hull KR Head Coach Willie Peters conceded that his side needs to elevate its performance to match the competition's frontrunners.

"I know that we're not in the top echelon of teams at the moment," said Peters.

Peters emphasized that chasing the leaders requires heightened focus. "We've got some chasing to do.

When you are chasing, you need to be hungry," he said.
