The reigning champions must navigate a difficult phase defined by significant forward pack absences.

"We've got some work to do to be able to get to where we want to go," Peters said.

He believes overcoming these adverse conditions will strengthen his squad's resolve. "It tests your character.

If you get through these periods, you get a lot of belief from it," he said.

Reflecting on his derby record, Peters recalled his sole loss against Hull FC as a major disappointment.

"We've had one loss in my time here and it's probably the worst defeat that I've had," he said.

He remains determined to avoid a repeat on the Magic Weekend stage.

The club aims to deliver a performance that rewards the loyalty of their local fan base. "Our whole philosophy and aim is to make our community proud.

There's no better game to do that than this weekend," Peters said.

Hull FC Interim Head Coach Andy Last expressed hope that his team can build on their competitive showing against Wigan Warriors.

"We did a good job last week and will need to do a strong job this week," said Last.

Last expects a highly motivated Hull KR side to deliver a fierce challenge despite their injuries.

"Hull KR have been consistent for a number of years and will bounce back with a strong performance.

We're expecting the best of Hull KR," he said.

The stage is set for a high-stakes encounter as both teams pursue two vital competition points.
