Wakefield have now won six of their last seven games, keeping them firmly in play-off contention as the season heads toward the September elimination finals.

Castleford, coached by Ryan Carr, remain ninth after another heavy defeat on the big stage. The Tigers failed to score until the final minute of the match.

First-Half Dominance

Cameron Scott opened the scoring in the third minute, crossing on the right edge for a 4-0 lead.

Tom Johnstone added an acrobatic finish on the left side in the 15th minute after swift passing across the backline.

Caleb Hamlin-Uele made an immediate impact off the bench, scoring from close range before Scott charged through a defensive gap for his second try.
