Dutch discount chain Wibra posted a record operational profit of 16.1 million euros in 2025, an increase of more than 25 percent from the previous year, according to its annual financial report released on July 6, 2026.

The retailer's gross revenue reached 362 million euros, representing a 26.4 percent growth compared to 2024, when operational profit stood at 12.7 million euros.

Expansion and Investments

Wibra opened 63 new stores across the Netherlands, Belgium, and France, bringing its total to 360 locations by the end of last year.

The expansion was supported by a new distribution center in Apeldoorn, which began operations in early 2026.

The company's workforce now totals 2,764 employees, comprising 2,442 men, 321 women, and one non-binary individual.

Leadership attributed the strong performance to strategic investments in modernization, product range, and organizational infrastructure, alongside continued demand for core products such as the household cleaner Dasty.

“Households continue to scrutinize their spending,” said CEO Bas Duijsens, commenting on the focus on affordable products and modern stores.

Social and Accessibility Initiatives

Wibra has also integrated social and accessibility efforts into its operations.

The company collaborates with circular collector Sympathy to collect thousands of kilograms of textiles monthly and works with specialist firm R'obuit to assess store accessibility.

“Walk into the store as if you are sitting in a wheelchair. Ask yourself: can I enter, look around, and pay independently?”

said R'obuit advisor Rob Verberne in the annual report.

The record results follow previous record-setting years in 2022 and 2023 for the company, which is owned by Ron Wierdsma.

Meanwhile, competitors like Action are also expanding, with Action recently announcing plans to enter the U. S.
