Chicago Sky point guard Skylar Diggins confirmed on Monday that she will be removed from the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Mercury.

Diggins expressed confusion and frustration after learning of the change during a team shootaround in Phoenix. She cited ongoing communication issues with the organization since April.
"I've been putting my body on the line all year for this team," Diggins said. "I've done everything that's been asked of me.
I've been great professionally, that's the decision that's made, and I gotta live with that."
The seven-time All-Star indicated she has received little clarity about whether the benching is permanent.
"I have no idea where this is coming from or if it's a permanent decision," she said.
Before speaking to reporters, Diggins posted on Instagram: "Now I'm coming off the bench?????? Cool."

She also shared a video addressing the situation, noting she had been quiet and cooperative.
Head coach Tyler Marsh described the lineup adjustment as a strategic decision. He declined to name Diggins' replacement, saying conversations between them would remain private.
Marsh emphasized that the team still values Diggins' production and leadership.
"She understands how effective she can still be and how big of a piece that she is for us on this team," he said.
Diggins is averaging 14.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in 29.1 minutes per game.
