The Festival d'été de Québec (FEQ) 2026 will feature significant transit changes, strict venue regulations, and expanded water stations in Old Quebec from July 9 to 19.

According to Le Soleil, public transit via the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) remains fully operational this year after the labor strike that disrupted the 2025 edition was resolved.

Metrobus routes 800, 801, 805, 807, and 11 will have enhanced schedules, but routes 800 and 801 will no longer serve the Upper Town area between the Marly terminal and Parliament Hill.

Specialized shuttles (routes 410, 420, 430, 450) will run from local boroughs to the city center every 10 minutes from 5:30 p.

Free parking lots are available near Metrobus and shuttle access points.

Cyclists can use a dedicated bike path along Grande Allée to reach the festival plains.

Major bike parking hubs are at the intersection of Honoré Mercier and Saint-Louis, and on George-VI Avenue.

Festival rules allow empty plastic or stainless steel water bottles and hydration packs under one liter, as well as sunscreen tubes up to 250 milliliters.

Glass containers and outside liquids are prohibited.

Only umbrella-style strollers are permitted at the Plains of Abraham and George-V square. Bulky items like folding chairs, coolers, traditional umbrellas, weapons, and drones are banned entirely.

Hydration infrastructure includes seven multi-tap water fountains on the Plains of Abraham, four at George-V square and the Parc de la Francophonie, and two at Place de l'Assemblée-Nationale.
