McLaren has given the 750S a hardcore makeover, resulting in the limited-edition 788HS.

The new model features an aggressive aerodynamic package and a boosted 4.0-liter V8 producing 777 hp (788 PS).

Only 200 examples will be built, split evenly between coupe and Spider variants.

The Final Evolution of the 720S Bloodline

The 788HS marks the ultimate sendoff for the 720S family, which began nearly a decade ago and later spawned the 765LT and the current 750S.

McLaren has tuned the 750S's twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from 740 hp to 777 hp, while keeping dry weight at just 1,265 kg (2,790 lbs).

This results in a power-to-weight ratio of 615 hp per tonne, the highest in this supercar generation.

Performance figures are impressive: 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds (same as the 750S), but 0-200 km/h in 7.0 seconds, 0.2 seconds quicker.

Top speed is slightly lower at 330 km/h due to increased downforce.

Revised engine mounts, a titanium quad-exit exhaust, and induction tuning enhance the sense of power and response.

Aerodynamics and Chassis Upgrades

The 788HS features a completely new carbon fiber aero package, including a multi-section front splitter, an S-duct hood that replaces the frunk, a taller active rear wing, and a Formula One-inspired diffuser.

The coupe version also gets a roof snorkel intake.

Ride height drops by 5 mm at the front, and the linked hydraulic suspension receives a bespoke tune.

Senna-derived carbon ceramic brakes and center-lock wheels are fitted for the first time on this platform.

Inside, the cabin is driver-focused with lightweight carbon trim and exclusive HS detailing.

Each of the 200 cars will be individually commissioned through McLaren Special Operations (MSO) and is expected to cost well over $400,000.
